Results for 2011

May 6th

Fultz Racing went to Kankakee County Speedway on Friday night.  I drew a 5 so we started on the pole of the 3rd heat. Was leading the heat race until lap 2 when Chris drove it to hard into turn 1 and slid off the top of the track. Finished 7th and had to run the last chance race. Needed to finish top 2 to transfer. Got 2nd and thought we  won it was that close at the line. Started 19th in feature and finished 11th got the hard charger award for gaining 8 spots. going to make a few changes for next week and see what happens. Fultz Racing will be racing next Saturday May 14 at Shadyhill Speedway.

May  14th

Fultz Racing went to Lincoln Park Speedway, in Putnamville, IN. Due to Shadyhill raining out on Saturday night.  The weather was a factor, it was cold with light rain and mist. We changed the gear to see if we could get the motor in the rpm range we needed.  I drew a 9 so we started on the pole of the 3rd heat.  Chris ran a few laps and pulled off. Chris said the car was bogging down and would not come up to speed. So we had to run the last chance race. The team decided to change to a different gear to see if that would help.  We changed the gear just in time to make the last chance race. Started 12th and had to finish top 5. Ran a few laps and car looked good but started bogging down again. Chris pulled off. Due to the weather we think the jets in the carburetor were to big and the motor was getting more fuel than it could burn. We are going to work on getting the carburetor jetted right this week. Hope for better results next week.  On a side note at Lincoln Park Speedway they redone the track the last 2 weeks they tell us and Saturday the track was smooth and fast. Those guys did a awesome job on the track. I just wish the track was closer because I think it's going to be a nice place to race.

May 21

Fultz Racing went to Fairbury American Legion Speedway, in Fairbury, IL. Due to Shadyhill raining out for the 3^rd straight week. Hot laps went well. Then the problem started. When Chris was in line to qualify then the battery went dead and had to be push started on the track. He qualified 17^th.  We found out the battery was bad and could not find one to buy so we took one out of the truck. Went out for the heat race and got spun out during the race and couldn’t get to a transfer spot. Had to run the b-main. During the b-main we were running in a transfer spot and the caution same out and with 2 laps left the right rear tire went away and got passed for the final transfer spot and we didn’t make the feature.
